What is project 29:11?

Project 29:11 is a unique "Social Enterprise" program that provides the students at The Vine School and clients of Branch of Hope Children’s Therapy Center with the opportunity to go into our communities and work on their social skills, language skills and independent living skills.

Our students and clients will be making and creating items to sell in local gift shops, boutiques and stores. Making the products gives our students and clients “real world” opportunities to strengthen areas such as fine motor skills, joint attention and task completion.

The first product that our students and clients have been working on is Handmade Soaps.

How does it work?

Based on the student’s or client’s individual goals they are guided by their teacher/therapist through the process of taking orders, making, packaging/labeling and delivering the handmade soaps. Each individual has something to offer to the process and can participate at his/her own level of functioning. These activities will be built in to their existing therapy time or school day. This project serves as an additional way to teach skills which are important to their development.

Why Project 29:11?

“For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you a hope and a future” –Jeremiah 29:11

We believe in providing opportunities for our students and clients that reach outside the school and clinic environment. We are excited about the unique opportunities that this will provide for our precious children and adults that we work with.

Please feel free to contact Meredith Potts, Stephanie Hessler or Erin Hatley with any questions you might have.
